When things don't go exactly as planned, getting your breastfeeding established when your baby is not able to feed right away can take a bit of effort, but usually proves well worthwhile.
The Australian Breastfeeding Association is a voluntary support group which recognises your commitment to provide breastmilk for your baby and can provide help for you to do this.
Our breast pump hire service is available Monday to Friday. Weekend hirings can be arranged in an emergency situation. Our breastpump hiring rates are detailed below.
Please enquire about pump hire well before your expected discharge day so that a pump can be found for you and a convenient time arranged for you to collect the pump.
Why hire your breast pump from ABA?
Our trained breastfeeding counsellors can provide suggestions and information which may make it easier to express your milk. You can have access to ongoing breastfeeding counselling and support as required. Our counsellors are also mothers themselves, so you can be assured that they really understand your situation. This mother-to-mother support often proves invaluable in helping to overcome any difficulties being experienced.All the profits from ABA breast pump hire are used directly to support breastfeeding women in our community.
Breast Pump Hiring Rates
You do not have to be a subscriber to ABA to use our facilities, however, you will find that you receive a discount hiring rate if you decide to subscribe.Our rates are calculated to cover the costs involved in providing the service. If you are experiencing financial difficulties you may like to discuss this with the counsellor hiring the pump.
Counsellors are volunteers (and mothers themselves) providing their time free of charge. We would therefore ask that you do try to contact them within business hours.
